These days, it seems that I have hit some sort of artistic block, so I decided rather than trying to search my brain for ideas, I would do something simple. So I decided to create a logo for my namesake. It's a pretty simple design using the letters of my username. Whereas I show "RocketFan" grouped as one word, everyone knows it's really two. So I came up with this idea of using a backwards "R" backed up to the "F". It actually has a nice flow to it, because the legs of the letters line up pretty close. Color choice was kind of difficult because I wasn't sure if I should use the "Houston Rockets" team colors, or my own. I decided to use my own, and used one of my color books to assist me with perfect 3 color combination. As for the pattern within the letters, given that my username is derived from being a Houston Rockets fan, I wanted to incorporate some kind of basketball element in there, so I created the texture that you see on a basketball. I thought it would give it a little pop.
